Terms & Conditions

• Check-in time from 1600hrs/4.00pm on day of arrival and departure no later than 1000hrs/10.00am.
• Old Temperance House B&B requires a 30% deposit to secure a room and the balance is due on departure. * See Covid-19 requirements below.
• Ginentonic Self-Catering Cottage requires a 40% deposit to secure a booking and the balance paid 6 weeks before arrival. If the booking is made less than 6 weeks before arrival, the full balance is due at the time of booking.
• Deposits are non-refundable.
• You agree to keep the property clean, tidy and report any breakages or problems to the owners. The property and associated equipment, furnishings and bedding are checked before and after any let.  Breakages and missing items will be charged at replacement or repair costs.
• The cottage and B&B are both non-smoking premises. You may smoke in the courtyard outside the premises but request you dispose of your ashtray.
• Keys, either lost or non-returned will be charged a £150.00 to cover the expense of replacing door locks and keys.
• Ginentonic Cottage, pets are allowed on request at the discretion of the owners. They are not allowed upstairs or on any furniture and cannot be left alone in the cottage at any time. There is an additional pet cleaning charge of £50.00 per week.
• Minimum stay at the B&B 2 nights, Ginentonic Self-Catering Cottage 3 nights.
• All parking in The Square is free.
• We accept cash, bank transfer, cheques, Visa, MasterCard and debit cards.
• We regret that we are unable to accept payment by American Express or any foreign currency.
• By making your booking and paying a deposit, you accept our Terms & Conditions as listed above and our Covid-19 Guidelines and Measures as detailed below.

Additional Measures to support Government, World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) Covid-19 Guidelines.

• Please inform Old Temperance House in advance of your expected arrival time to allow staggered check-in times, ideally between our designated time of between 1600-1800hrs/4.00pm-6.00pm. You can use the message box on the contact page or contact us direct via landline, mobile or email.
• Full payment is required before arrival, to reduce personal contact and support Government Social Distancing.
• Prior to arrival, we require guests to complete and return our registration form, thereby confirming that the Terms & Conditions for Old Temperance House & Ginentonic Self-Catering Cottage have been read and will be adhered to.
• In response to Coronavirus (Covid-19),additional safety and hygiene measures are currently in effect at the properties.
• Hand sanitisers will be available at the entrance of Old Temperance House and Ginentonic Self-Catering Cottage of which, ALL guests must utilise when accessing and leaving the properties.
• We encourage all guests to wear their own face mask in the communal areas of the properties, particularly when accessing and leaving.
• Food services at Old Temperance House have been modified to adhere to Government Social Distancing requirements and WHO measures around Coronavirus (Covid-19) hence a reduced breakfast menu will be delivered to your room.
• A breakfast menu is detailed within the rooms. To assist with Social Distancing, please either text on 07770-419880 or email info@oldtemperancehouse.co.uk your order prior to 1700hrs/5.00pm the day before.
• Due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) these properties are taking steps to help protect the safety of guests and staff. Certain services, amenities, products and furnishings may be reduced or unavailable as a result.
• We will adhere to recommended guidelines regarding cleaning of rooms, communal areas and surfaces, based on recommendations from The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC),along with the World Health Organization (WHO).
• There will be NO opportunity for guests to remain on at either property beyond their booked and paid for dates.
